The Laval Academy
The Laval academy is located in the Galeries Laval shopping center, in downtown Laval, across the street from the Centre Laval shopping center. It is situated immediately beside Kontact Sport (Shifu Bernard's martial arts supply store). Since it is situated in a large shopping center, ample parking is guaranteed. Several Laval buses stop at the shopping mall, many of them leaving from the Henri-Bourassa metro station. Furthermore, the new Laval Metro station Montmorency is just five minutes away from the school. Laval students also have access to the Montreal academy.
The Laval Academy has doubled in size in September 2003 to accommodate growing demand. It is also a fully equipped, modern martial studio. Training equipments include punching bags, a wooden dummy, sand-filled wall bags, horizontal striking bags (for iron palm training), and various types of traditional training equipments (jars for gripping, bundles of sticks for training the forearms, etc.). The school also has showers and air conditioning. The Laval academy offers classes for adults, teenagers and children. |
